About

Formed in the mid-1990s in Rouen and Paris, Tahiti 80 is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalists Xavier Boyer, Médéric Gontier, Sylvain Marchand, and Pedro Resende. The band’s name was inspired by a souvenir T-shirt given to Boyer’s father in 1980—a quirky origin story for a group that would go on to redefine indie pop.
