Barış Manço was without doubt the most successful musician of his generation. He first appeared on stage aged 15 (1958) multi-instrumentalist Manço also played guitar/keyboards on many recordings.

In an interview he once stated: “I did not come to this world as a singer, I came here to share my ideas and thoughts” this sometimes happened with song, sometimes with TV programs, so in 1988 he started a weekly TV program called from 7 to 77, which ran for 10 years with 368 episodes.
